Transformer: Imota Chair Commends Lagos Rural Office Electrification Initiative

Residents of Iradelu Itesiwaju Community in Imota LCDA with the new transformer delivered to them by the Office of Rural Development, Lagos State

The Executive Chairman, Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, has commended the Office of the Rural Development, Lagos State Government for extending its rural electrification initiative to Imota.

Iradelu Itesiwaju Community in Imota LCDA, is one of the four communities that benefited from the distribution of four new transformers done between October 28 and 29, 2025, by Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, the Special Adviser on Rural Development to the Governor of Lagos State.

Hon. Benson expressed his deep gratitude to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for his unwavering dedication to the development of Lagos State, particularly in the Ikorodu Division. He noted that this installation is a testament to the Lagos State Government’s commitment to the development of rural communities.

The Council Chairman also commended Dr. Agbaje for his tireless efforts and various interventions that have significantly contributed to the growth of different communities across Lagos State.

Mr. Jimoh Sanni, Chairman of the Iradelu Itesiwaju Community Development Association, received the transformer on behalf of the CDA and expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Governor for bringing the dividends of democracy to the community.

The Rural Electrification Initiative is a key component of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES Plus Agenda, aimed at extending sustainable development to underserved areas across Lagos State.
